Sidebar Site Name

  • The site name at the top of the sidebar always links to the page you’ve set as your homepage in the Customize panel.
  • To change this destination, update your homepage setting in
    Appearance → Customize.

Sidebar Navigation

  • The sidebar is your primary site navigation.
  • By default, it shows only parent pages.
  • Child pages appear in the sidebar
    only when their parent page is the active page, similar to how navigation works in Cascade CMS.
  • If a page doesn’t appear where you expect it, confirm it has the correct parent set under
    Page Attributes → Parent.

Header and Footer Navigation

  • Additional navigation links can be added in the header and footer menus.
  • These menus do not support dropdowns or expanding submenus – they are best used for:
    • Utility links (Apply, Visit, Give, etc.)
    • Key calls-to-action
    • Simple secondary navigation

Page Builder Requirement

  • The SIU Theme requires the use of a page builder for page layout and content.
  • The theme has been tested with and is recommended for use with Divi and Elementor.
  • We do not guarantee compatibility with other page builders or complex custom Gutenberg layouts.

Footer Contact Block

  • The Contact block in the footer is managed globally in the Customize panel.
  • You can edit:
    • Phone number
    • Email address
  • The heading for this section will always follow the pattern:Contact (Site Name)where Site Name matches the name set for your site.
